PepsiCo Bar Totem Displays
Space is always a key consideration for any display unit. Major store groups have guidelines that must be followed to create uniformity. Stock levels can also dictate dimensions. But on some occasions the brief is to design a unit with a minimum footprint for an area that must be left clear and uncluttered.
This was the case when I was approached by Dan Jaques at Melita POS to design a bar snack display for PepsiCo. The unit would be placed either on the bar or the back counter and needed to shout out the bar snacks available to purchase with your drinks whilst taking up as little room as possible.
Of course the only was to go was up and I designed the totem unit shown below.
Initially the display was made up of graphic tiles that could be tailored to the stock for sale. During the development stage this was changed to show a fixed range. Thank you to Dan for the original brief and permission to share the original concepts.
